Meet the Attorneys

Douglas S. Kepanis, LL.M.

Douglas S. Kepanis, LL.M. was born in Queens and raised on Long Island. After graduating from SUNY Binghamton with a BA in Political Science, he attended the California Western School of Law where he was Editor of the Law Review and International Law Journal, graduating cum laude with a Juris Doctorate. As Mr. Kepanis was always interested in world events, he studied International and Comparative Law at the Georgetown University Law Center where he obtained, with distinction, his LL.M. degree.

After practicing with a prestigious Garden City matrimonial and family law firm, Mr. Kepanis decided to bring his brand of legal practice to the community. Setting out to not only advocate aggressively for his clients, Mr. Kepanis also believed-and still believes-that an attorney should demonstrate genuine compassion for his clients' needs. Whether it is going through a divorce, child custody, or child support proceeding, emotions can run very high. The goal of The Kepanis Law Firm is to not only guide you through the legal minefield of family law, but to also ensure you are treated with respect and listened to every step of the way.

After seeing many friends struggle through the divorce process, Mr. Kepanis became interested in ensuring that the mistakes those friends made would never be made by others. The Kepanis Law Firm emerged to help others through this legally complicated and emotionally draining time.
